We built our practice around one goal: helping patients heal the disc itself, non-surgically, whenever possible.
Our philosophy
Chiropractic adjustments, physical therapy, and pain injections can relieve symptoms, but they are not designed to heal a damaged disc. Disc Doctors uses FDA-cleared, non-surgical spinal decompression therapy with the DRX9000 to relieve pressure on the disc itself, so it has the opportunity to rehydrate and heal. Our approach draws on research from institutions including Mayo Clinic, Stanford, Duke, Johns Hopkins, and UCSF, and is built around helping patients avoid spine surgery, which succeeds only a portion of the time, whenever a non-surgical path is appropriate.
Who we treat
Based in the Latham, NY area, Disc Doctors serves patients throughout Albany, Colonie, Schenectady, Troy, and the greater Capital District who are dealing with herniated or bulging discs, sciatica, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, or chronic neck and back pain.
A graduate of New York Chiropractic College, Dr. Forlini leads care at Disc Doctors with a focus on evidence-based treatment for disc injuries. He built his approach around anatomy, exercise science, and hands-on clinical experience, and he evaluates every patient to build a decompression and rehab plan suited to their specific diagnosis.
Dr. Meenan earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College and spent years in private practice before specializing in non-surgical spinal decompression. He is well versed in DRX9000 protocols and builds targeted treatment plans aimed at long-term relief rather than temporary symptom management.
Kimberly supports patients throughout their treatment at Disc Doctors, helping every visit run smoothly and making sure patients feel informed and comfortable from their first appointment through their full course of care.
